A tough week for the lads was capped off with the first part of the Tony Horobin Trophy,
The Doncaster club hosted the game and it turned to to be a tough afternoon for our lads as they were beaten by 31 shots.
Wins for Aylciffe’s Stuart Clarke, Hartlepool’s John Ainger and Darlington’s Dave Newman notched up a vital 3 points.
The good thing is the destination of the Trophy is still wide open as its decided on rink points, therefore the fact it was an even 3-3 split across the green means the lads have it all the play for in the return leg at Durham on January 16.
