The second leg of the Tony Horobin Trophy against Yorkshire took place at Durham last week. In the first leg we were beaten by 31 shots however it goes on rink points rather than shots so the fact it was a 3-3 split meant it was still all to play for in the second leg.

It proved to be a thriller and it went right to the wire, with four rinks off it was 2-2 and it went down to the last bowls on both the remaining rinks. As it happens the final two rinks were shared meaning overall it finished 6-6 therefore an extra end was played by each rink.

Sadly in a thrilling finish the lads missed out on the extra ends 5-4 leaving Yorkshire the winners for the first time, although disappointed to lose it was a cracking game enjoyed by not only the players but the spectators as well.
